See Change is excited to once again join the Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus, and join for the first time the In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater for the second half of this concert, Song of Wisdom

Harmony. Belonging. Connection.

Some songs lift you. Some songs heal you. Some songs speak to the deepest parts of who we are.

In Wicked Wisdom, we celebrate the genius of legendary composer Stephen Schwartz, whose music dares us to dream, challenges us to care, to listen to voices too often overlooked, and reminds us that even the most misunderstood voices can rise, shine, and soar. But this is more than a tribute, it's an invitation to reconnect.

From the powerhouse defiance of “Defying Gravity”—a rallying cry of resilience and liberation—to the gentle hope of “Beautiful City,” where shattered worlds are slowly pieced back together, to the heartfelt plea of “God Help the Outcasts,” echoing with compassion for those seeking shelter and belonging—this is music that moves.

But that’s only the beginning.

At the heart of the concert is Song of Wisdom by Joseph M. Martin and orchestrated by Brant Adams, a breathtaking choral-orchestral journey that brings the beloved book Old Turtle by Douglas Wood to life. With a full orchestra, the power of over 200 voices, the radiant harmonies of See Change Treble Choir, and the magical storytelling and visual poetry of In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre, this one-of-a-kind performance transcends words. It weaves together myth, music, and nature while reminding us that in the language of story and song, we find the power to heal, to hope, and to belong. It’s a symphony of spirit, nature, and timeless truths that speak across generations.

Epic. Emotional. Enlightening.

*The 2:30pm performance will have ASL interpretation.
